WHAT
The Last Supper is a not-for-profit intimate dinner experience for 12 women, joining together to break bread, for the first and last time. Our table is a place where nourishment is celebrated and beauty, pleasure, ideas, and food are the great connectors. True to its name, The Last Supper is where impermanence and presence meet for a meal.
WHY?
There is a desperate need for more of what keeps us connected to our humanity. Breaking bread with your neighbor. Creative ideas. Meaningful conversations in inspiring places. Laughing. We need to laugh more and scroll less. The Last Supper is reviving the lost art of looking people in the eye while passing a salad bowl around a table. Our vision is to host with deep-seated connection in mind and is not stationary to one location, experience, or guest list. It’s meant to move and grow, from neighbor to neighbor, letting the nourishment of giving and receiving ripple into every guests’ life once the evening is over.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Last Supper travels from city to city, hosting dinners in unique, intimate settings like bookshops, empty cafes, living rooms, gardens, olive tree groves, seaside cliffs, alleyways. Anywhere we can fit a table, in a private setting, we will go.
A seat will be available for any and all women, from all walks of life. Each dinner will be a cost-free experience. If you are tapped on the shoulder to attend, the only requirement is to just show up at no cost. We will nourish you.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT?
We run on receiving.
We are completely funded by the generosity of donors, partners, and extended our community. Every meal, piece of decor, venue, and cost associated with executing the event is donated by the benevolence of others.
We ask for your donation.
We suggest $50 towards the cost of a single meal, but anything goes and it all counts! If you are unable (or would rather not) give to The Last Supper, we ask to share this with your community instead.
